Turned on the lights, took a closer look, and saw one of the springs completely snapped in half. Bad news. Couldn’t lift manually. Heavy Steel Fargo-made door as I learned later.
  I bought my house in August and figured I’d call the 24/7 emergency number on the door. A call service eventually picked up but couldn’t give me a timeline. I found All American Door, gave them a call just after 7 AM, and was helped by a very understanding woman. I received a call from the serviceman 20 minutes later and he was fixing my garage shortly after.
  I appreciated the quick response, honest assessment, and good work. The serviceman installed heavier duty springs & additional hardware and had me out the door in under an hour. He pointed out additional issues that could arise down the road and emailed a detailed estimate after service. He wasn’t pushy or aggressive about it, just gave me a nice education on a part of my house I had taken for granted. I took the time to look over the things he recommended and would like to have him come back.
